I was very excited today,we went to my favourite shop in Cilgerran to get my food, but we had to go a new way cos the times of the buses have changed and we can't get there the way we usually go. So we got off the bus at Llechryd bridge and walked along the tow path at the side of the running waters. We had to go past the old fish traps that caused riots way back in history and the land owner was forced to smash them up, and that building is the mews to what used to be known as Castle Malgwyn hotel but is now known as Hammet House. I went in the running waters lots and then we came to the ruins of the quarrymens cottages. The running waters used to be very deep but they quarried stone from the river bank and threw the spoil into the water until it wasn'tdeep enough for their boats anymore. I got lots of seedy bits stuck to me and She Who ThinksShe Must Be Obeyed gave me a good brush when we got home. The nasty bus driver drove straight past us at the bus station and we had to wait another 45 minutes for the next one. I was very worried my food would unfreeze and go bad in the sun but it woz alright and She Who Thinks She Must Be Obeyed put it away in the ice place as soon as we got back.
